This year I have the honour of preaching at Midnight Mass in my home church in the Peak District and in preparation for writing my sermon, I have been reading and reflecting upon the story of Jesus' birth from Luke Ch.2:1-14.

As a GB leader it’s great to be fully equipped/trained for activities we may do with our young people, or to be trained so that we can share our knowledge within our local area.

As the year comes to an end, Girls' Brigade groups have celebrated this Christmas with a range of activities!

We've received some inspiring stories from Girls' Brigade groups who have recently hosted some successful Bring a Friend events! Bring a Friend events are a great way of spreading the word about what Girls' Brigade has to offer and how easy it is to get involved.

On 1 November, Girls’ Brigade groups across England and Wales took part in local and national events to commemorate Remembrance Day.

At Girls’ Brigade, we are passionate about ensuring girls and young women are best equipped to thrive in today’s world, and doing so safely. We are committed to providing resources and support so that girls can enjoy the digital world, whilst being protected against threats that they are especially vulnerable to, due to their gender. We have collaborated with Ineqe to create a report on a strategy for implementing online youth work into our practices.

Martha is a member of 1st Andover Girls' Brigade, and was recently recognised at an award ceremony in London for her Christian leadership and inspiring telling of her journey of faith.

Girls’ Brigade England and Wales are excited to be working with the Methodist Church on expanding and introducing new groups, for girls aged 4-17, into areas with a high military family presence. This project seeks to build friendships, strengthen community, and explore the spiritual side of life for girls in military families. By offering tried and tested faith-based support to children in military families, Girls’ Brigade can help them to develop their confidence and resilience, something we know is a challenge in today’s world.

On 27 October, Girls’ Brigade members and volunteers were invited to an awards ceremony recognising their outstanding contributions to their groups and communities over the past year.

Our Hope Publication gathers stories of hope to showcase the important work Girls' Brigade England and Wales has done this season nationally and in local communities.
