On Monday 5 May, 3rd Ryde and 1st Newport had the amazing opportunity of taking part in the VE Day Parade in London, celebrating 80 years since Europe’s fighting against Nazi Germany in Europe ended during WWII. The groups were amongst other youth groups and represented Girls’ Brigade proudly, even being featured on TV stations such as BBC1!

67th Birmingham recently held a reunion party at their church as a celebration of the 75th anniversary of the group.

To mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day, the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) have organised a special concert on Thursday 8 May 2025 on Horse Guards Parade, in conjunction with the BBC. We have been invited to attend this exciting event and are really pleased to be able to open this up to our GB members and their families.

1st Charlton Kings Girls Brigade group were treated to a drumming workshop by Olá Samba of Cheltenham recently.

Three of our local community groups have been in touch to let us know how they've been celebrating the anniversaries of Girls' Brigade in their communities.

We've been supporting groups across England and Wales in holding 'Bring a Friend' events to help boost membership numbers over the past few weeks. It's been great to hear some success stories and the impact these sessions have had.
