Supporting those with additional needs – equipping children and young people

Programme materials

The resource downloadable below has been produced to help you run a practical session with the children and young people you work with to address issues around supporting those with additional needs.

It’s supported by 4 video clips of Mark Arnold, the Additional Needs Ministry Director at national Christian children’s and youth organisation Urban Saints and Co-Founder of the Additional Needs Alliance, a vibrant and fast-growing online community, equipping you to run the session and related to each section of the resource.

In video clip 1, Mark looks at understanding the different forms of additional needs that children and young people can experience

In video clip 2, Mark looks at practical tips to promote accessibility, inclusivity and belonging for all in your group.

In video clip 3, Mark explores how Jesus’s encounters with disabled people were transforming.

In video clip 4, Mark looks at celebrating everyone’s worth in Jesus.

This resource can be used with a resource to equip leaders on the same issue.
