We love to hear about how each Girls’ Brigade group makes the most of summer time!

On Saturday 7 June, members of the Northamptonshire District joined together for a visit to Twycross Zoo! There were attendees from 1st Higham Ferrers, 3rd Kettering, 1st Duston, 1st Moulton, 1st Wellingborough, and 5th Northampton. An attendee from the District tells us 'We had a very enjoyable day with our friends and saw so many animals of all shapes and sizes.'

21st Castleford were lucky enough to receive some donations, meaning they could make the most of the lovely weather and have a visit from an ice cream van! The local ice cream can served 35 girls who could all pick whatever treat they fancied.

For their final meeting before summer, 21st Castleford used fundraised money to throw a party. 27 girls attended and were joined by some boys from 1st Airedale Boys Brigade! They enjoyed a bouncy castle, hair braids, and glitter tattoos. They even had a visit from Stitch, who danced with the girls and took pictures!

1st Totton took part in Totton Carnival where they won 3rd place for their float! The whole group took part in making decorations for the float using paint and glitter everywhere. Team Leader Louise said 'It was a hot day but the girls enjoyed the day with hot dogs and cake on route to keep them going.'

The girls and leaders at 1st Darlington enjoyed an awards night with cake. They also spent the night celebrating the group's 60th anniversary!
