news

Around 80 leaders attended GB’s hybrid spring conference on Saturday 2 March.

Leaders joined on Zoom and in person at All Nations Church, in Bedford, to hear the latest GB news, worship, enjoy each other’s company, and to be equipped.

Agenda items on the day included:

  • A time of getting to know GB’s new CEO – Judith Davey-Cole – and her reflections since being appointed
  • Elections and appointments – Grace Claydon re-elected as an under 30s rep on the Network Executive, Elaine Stevens re-elected on the Network Executive and Rachael Stevens elected as a new under 30s rep on the Network Executive; re-electing our office bearers – Vice Presidents Pam Jenkins, Janice Ogilvie, Kathy Hubbard, and Jo Thoy, Chaplain Rev Gill Newton, and Honorary Treasurer Sara Fagg
  • A finance update and a discussion around fundraising
  • Updates on the work we’ve been doing on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI), on raising our profile, and on the programme review
  • And much, much, more!

After the morning meeting and lunch, there were three training sessions available – Residential Event refresher training, Life to the Full refresher, and Building a Successful GB Team.

One GB leader said ‘The Building a Successful GB Team session was excellent. It was really great to have the chance to discuss challenges and opportunities and have an intended time to reflect.’
