Platinum Jubilee card design competition winners

news

Four winners have been selected to have their designs made into a Platinum Jubilee card to be sent to Her Majesty The Queen.

This year, Her Majesty The Queen will become the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee, 70 years of service, having acceded to the throne on 6 February 1952 when Her Majesty was 25 years old.

The GB staff team were amazed to receive over 560 entries for our Platinum Jubilee card competition and, because of the huge response, we decided to have four age section category winners instead of two.

Our judges, GB’s Vice Presidents Kathy Hubbard and Pam Jenkins, have been hard at work and picked the following winners:

  • n:vestigate – Chloe from Trinity
  • n:gage – Naomi from 30th Nottingham
  • n:counta – Brooke from 1st Hawkwell
  • n:spire – Rebecca from 20th Nottingham.

Kathy says ‘Pam and I deliberated and discussed and, I’m pleased to say, didn’t argue over all the lovely entries for the competition. We both picked out our favourites from each section then put our lists together and discovered some overlaps! We then went away and concentrated on the shortlists before meeting on a video call to make our final selections. It was a tough job but great to see so many wonderful and creative designs.’

Each winner will have their design incorporated into a card we send to Her Majesty The Queen – the design of which will be revealed over the Platinum Jubilee weekend – and they have each won a £25 Amazon voucher.

All of the other amazing competition entries are available to view here.
