Online training for GB leaders

event

As a GB leader it’s great to be fully equipped/trained for activities we may do with our young people, or to be trained so that we can share our knowledge within our local area.

As we can’t meet together face to face just yet, we have managed to organise a variety of training we can provide online via zoom.  We’re providing sessions for:

  • Life to the Full refresher
  • Residential Event refresher
  • n:fluence 18+
  • Team Leader training.

Each session will have limited spaces so you will need to book on fast. Bookings will close 7 days before each session. Each training session will cost £15 for n:fluence training and £7.50 for all other sessions, payable via Eventbrite at the time of booking. You may also need to pay for additional training materials, see information regarding your session below.

Residential indoor & outdoor (refresher only) – If you want to take your GB group away on a residential in the future, GB policy states that you must complete residential training every five years. You need one leader with residential training per 30 girls. Join Lynne Rogers and Linda Savage as they take you through the residential handbook giving you hints and tips along the way. Residential Event Toolkit £2.50 (compulsory to buy and automatically added to your booking form). Join us on any of these dates – Tuesday 9 March, Tuesday 23 March arrivals from 7.15pm or Tuesday 30 March arrivals from 1.45pm. Book via Eventbrite using the links below.

Great for helpers wishing to progress in their role, Advanced Young Leaders who’ve turned 18 and are ready to become leaders, people who are new to GB, or current GB leaders who feel a refresher would benefit them. n:fluence 18+ induction packs are available to pre-order for £17.50 – these are recommended for all new GB leaders. Order yours now via GB Trading.

There are limited numbers on all sessions.

The sessions will be hosted on Zoom. On the day, please ensure that you’re logged into the Zoom call ready for the meeting to begin about 5-10 minutes before. Zoom is a really easy piece of software to use. Here is how you can download the software to your computer in advance. Or you can just click the link 15 minutes before the meeting and download it then. It’s best to use it with a laptop with a webcam. We’d love to ‘see’ you!

If you have any problems booking, please contact Eleanor.
