1st Hull Girls' Brigade have had a great past month, jam packed with fun activities! In November, the girls and leaders attended a party evening at Lush Cosmetics in Hull, where they played lots of fun games. The group also were able to make a comfort bubble bar and bath bombs together! They had a great time playing Lush bingo and a hilarious game of throwing the shower jelly at the wall! The girls won prizes and everyone took home their very own party bag with lots of treats. This evening was possible thanks to Hull Minster and the Ann Watson Trust.
The group also worked hard decorating a tree for the Lord Mayor's Christmas Tree Festival. They spent an evening in December finishing their decorations, listening to Christmas music, putting up the tree and enjoying the other trees put up by other groups!
21st Castleford went carol singing at their local nursing home, a tradition they repeat every year! They were joined by 1st Airedale Boys' Brigade. The groups sang together and were treated to hot choclate and a selection box by the nursing home staff. This year, Santa paid them a visit with Crunchy the therapy pony, who the girls and residents got to meet!
5 Girls' Brigade groups from the Southend on Sea District got together for a Christmas Crafternoon and Nativity! Over the course of 3 hours the girls enjoyed making 5 different crafts whilst also learning the songs for a nativity play! With costumes & props at the ready, families and friends arrived for the last half hour to watch the performance. GB Helper Nicole Turner said it was the second time that she'd been along to the event with her daughter Hattie and that it was brilliant - the girls even had snack breaks to enjoy home made cakes! Christmas has begun! Well done to District Team Leader Andrea Clarke who pulled the whole thing together, ably assisted by her team of GB leaders, Young Leaders and helpers from across the district.
