GB member spreads sunshine in her community

A member of 1st Kendal GB community group has been recognised for her good work by her local Morrisons store.

In December, Tilly Cunningham, an n:counta group member, raised £180 for a local hospice by knitting little hats and selling them to her friends and family.

GB Leader Louise Cairns says ‘Her good work has just been recognised by the local Morrisons store who have nominated Tilly for their Little Sunshine campaign and gifted her a hamper.’

The Kendal Morrisons Community Champion shared Tilly’s story on Facebook saying ‘Across the company this week, we’re recognising “Little Sunshines”, children who have made a difference this past year and shone in their community. Our store’s chosen Little Sunshine is Tilly! She knitted these gorgeous little hats and sold them as Christmas decorations, and made £180 for St Mary’s Hospice in December. Well done Tilly, and thank you for your hard work, fundraising for such a fantastic cause.’
